Jakarta City Hall Guarded By Brimob

Post-bomb terror in Sarinah area, Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarat, Thursday (1/14) yesterday, security at Jakarta City Hall on Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan keeps being tightened. Today, tens of Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) personnel are seen on standby.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said, the City Hall is categorized as the ring area and its position is located next to office of Vice President.

"To intensify security, we have involved Brimob. Because the City Hall is located next to the office of Vice President. This is the ring area," he expressed, Friday (1/15).

Basuki: Jakarta Remains Safe, Don't Worry and Panic

He stated the system is the same with security during the celebration of Christmas and New Year some time ago. He added, there had been a warning before bomb terror occurred yesterday.

"We've been suspicious but do not dare to make an arrest. We are too polite you know, I think we do not hesitate to shoot the actors in place," he finished.
